The Story behind the Face

Hi folks my name is Adam Armstrong-crisp, I’ve lived in the borders of Scotland for 16 years. I’ve also been involved with the Armstrongs since 2004. History has fascinated me for a long time. My first book I ever picked up was about the Vikings – I was nine years old, with a mind full of wonder and imagination. I was born with a rare bone disorder, called grants syndrome, i’m also profoundly deaf, so immersing myself in history and legend helped me over come many issues. Hence one day it would change my life forever.

I learned of my family heritage when I was 18 years of age, no real desire to change at the time. But as time wore on I had this dream that one day I would ride with the Armstrongs and the border Reivers. My desire for the real thing gained pace and before I knew I was standing at the foot of Gilnockie Tower in 2004. From that day forward I would seek a better life.

I’ve been a tour guide for at least 8 years and I have journeyed far and wide. I enjoy showing visitors my home. To me it’s showing that I have a special connections to the land on which I was born.
